CHORAL PERFORMANCES

Tours

From time to time, members of our main choral group have gotten together and undertaken a concert tour. We have had the opportunity to tour and perform in some of the most spectacular settings from grand cathedrals in England to country churches in Brazil. The Missouri Choral Society has taken tours around the world and the society has enjoyed singing for and learning about a wide range of people and cultures.

We have been to:

Poland, Vienna and Salzburg in 1985
Hungary and Switzerland in 1987
Former Soviet Union (Russia, Belorussia, Ukraine), Estonia, and Ireland in 1989
Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Germany and Austria in 1994
Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji in 1996
Brazil and The Amazon in 1998
England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland in 2000
Germany and France in 2003

Other Performances

The Missouri Choral Society has performed with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, both at Powell Symphony Hall and at the Queeny Pops Concerts and at the Greater St. Louis Prayer Breakfast. Several Saint Louis area churches have sponsored concert performances, Masses and services celebrating special events, anniversaries and holiday programs.

The Missouri Choral Society participates in helping our local charities as well. We assist in organizing and performing with other premier choirs in the area, in the St. Louis Sings concerts.

All funds raised for these concerts go to help area food pantries.
